Εύχομαι Καλή Χρονιά σε όλους. Διάλεξα για πρώτη ανάρτηση του 2012 να ζητήσω τη βοήθεια των φίλων μου συλλεκτών σε ένα θέμα που δεν κατόρθωσα να λύσω στο βιβλίο μου: "Ποιός από τους δύο εικονιζόμενους ΠΑΛ εύζωνες είναι ο παλαιότερος χρονικά"; Συνοψίζω τα μέχρι τώρα κατ' εμέ δεδομένα:
1. Το δεύτερο στρατιωτάκι, (54χιλ), περιγράφεται στις ευρεσιτεχνίες, το πρώτο, (65χιλ), όχι.
2. Οι φιγούρες της κατηγορίας του πρώτου εύζωνα είναι πιο σπάνιες σε όλες τις χρωματικές παραλλαγές του από τις αντίστοιχες της κατηγορίας του δεύτερου.

1. The second toy soldier, (54mm in scale) is described in PAL patents, while the first, (65mm) is not.
2. The toy soldiers of the first type is more rare than the second type, and that applies for every colour variation.

I don't know which Evzone is older, but the second one is a great figure. It trully captures the style of the stalwart Evzones guarding the Anknown Soldier in Athens. Kudos to the sculpture who made this figure.

I would say the first soldier is the oldest, simply because I used to have the second one in the early 60's. Therefore for me not to have seen the first one at that time or later, it is likely that it was an older production.
